The Kamloops Storm will play host to the first annual non-golf golf tournament on Aug. 10 at Memorial Arena.
The tournament is a fundraiser for KidSport and the Kamloops Minor Hockey Association and will introduce Memorial Arena, the Storm’s new home for the 2016-2017 Kootenay International Junior Hockey League season, to fans of the club.
The non-golf golf tournament is an event made up of 18 indoor mini-games which will include a variety of activities, not necessarily related to golf. Participants do not need to be athletic to register.
Doors open at 3 p.m. for the tournament, with golf running from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The action will be followed by a private Odds concert, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
