Box on ice

The inside of the Ice Box Arena in the Mount Paul Industrial Park on the Tk’emlups Indian Band remains void of skaters as the facility never opened this season. Ice-plant repairs have proved financially daunting and the future of the once-popular hockey rink remains unclear. The loss of the private ice pad has led to added pressure on the six ice surfaces owned and operated by the City of Kamloops.
